AI NOTES TO PDF

Give rough AI notes a shape a person can review.

Paste Markdown from ChatGPT or another AI tool, clean up the headings and next steps, then save a brief you can send to a client or teammate.

A useful review pass

  1. Remove claims you have not checked.
  2. Turn long paragraphs into headings and bullets.
  3. Separate decisions, open questions and next steps.
  4. Preview the PDF before sharing it.

Why the raw output needs a pass

ChatGPT and similar tools write in a flat, confident register. Everything arrives at the same altitude: a paragraph of context, a paragraph of caveats, a paragraph of suggestions. That reads fine while you are the only audience, and falls apart the moment a client opens it.

The problem is rarely wrong information. It is missing hierarchy. A reader cannot tell which sentence is the recommendation and which one is the disclaimer, so they read all of it, or they skim and grab the wrong line. Restructuring is what turns a wall of text into something you can hand to someone.

Two edits do most of the work. Cut every sentence that restates the obvious — introductions that explain what the document is about, and summaries that repeat what you just said. Then move anything that carries a caveat into its own section. A paragraph titled "What this does not cover" is far more useful than a buried half-sentence.

MySkills is not a fact checker

Formatting a document does not verify its contents. Check names, numbers, links and recommendations yourself before sending AI-assisted notes to another person.

Concretely, look for the failure modes that survive formatting: invented version numbers, confident statistics with no year attached, and recommendations for libraries or services that no longer exist. AI assistants write all three without hesitation, and a clean PDF makes them look more trustworthy than they are. If a number matters to the decision, find where it came from.

The tool does not rewrite your text either. It renders the Markdown you paste, so every edit stays yours — which is the point, since the editing is where the actual value is added.

What the editor handles

Headings, paragraphs, bullet lists, links, blockquotes, tables and fenced code blocks are rendered. A file picker is there for opening a .md file directly. The preview updates as you type, so you can see a restructure land before you export anything.

Not supported: Mermaid diagrams, LaTeX notation, nested list levels and inline emphasis inside a paragraph — **bold** shows as literal asterisks rather than formatted text. The same applies to inline code spans and inline images. This is worth knowing if your AI notes are heavy on formatting, because the PDF will show the markers.

Privacy choices

The browser preview and browser print path are local. If server PDF export is available and selected, the document is sent to the PDF service. Do not paste confidential information into an online workflow without checking its terms.

The difference is worth keeping straight. Browser preview and browser print-to-PDF never leave your machine, and they are unlimited. Server export renders on this server, which gives you a proper A4 file with consistent styling, and it counts against a daily quota. If the content is sensitive, stay on the local path.
